The company was established by Lefteris Eleftheriou following his training abroad in dairy production. Beginning with a small facility, the operation initially focused on manufacturing traditional Cypriot cheeses, specifically Halloumi and Kefalotyri, using milk sourced from sheep and goats owned by the family.

As production volumes expanded, the company relocated to a larger facility by 1980 to accommodate growing demand. The expanded production capacity enabled ELEFTHERIOS G. ELEFTHERIOU (Achnagal) Ltd to increase its export activities across multiple markets, including the United Kingdom and Kuwait. The company's product range includes Halloumi cheese, Kefalotyri cheese, and yoghurt.
