Founded through a partnership between Manufacturers Life of Canada and the Bank of Cyprus, the company established itself in the life insurance sector and subsequently became a full member of the Bank of Cyprus Group. The organization expanded to Greece in 2001, delivering banking and insurance services through the Bank of Cyprus branch network under the name "Kyprou Zois".

ARK INSURANCE holds approximately 28% market share in the Cyprus insurance market. In 2013, the company paid €125,000,000 in redemptions, expiration benefits, and claims. ARK INSURANCE introduced innovative offerings such as the MRAS system for direct coverage without medical requirements and the Lifecare product.
