Central Bank of Cyprus was established in 1963 following Cyprus's independence declaration. The institution was created under the Central Bank of Cyprus Law of 1963 and relevant provisions of the Cyprus Republic Constitution. The organization currently operates under the Central Bank of Cyprus Laws of 2002, as amended from time to time.
