Pan-Cypriot Cooperative Health Fund Ltd was established in 1961 and operates as a non-profit organization regulated under the Cooperative Societies Law of 1985 (22/1985) and the Cooperative Societies Regulations from 1987 to 2012. The organization is overseen by the Commissioner of Cooperative Societies. The fund provides medical and pharmaceutical coverage to employees of cooperative societies, the Hellenic Bank Public Ltd, KEDIPES, Altamira, employees of financial and other organizations, and salaried members of trade unions. Coverage extends to the member, spouse, and dependent children under 24 years of age. Members may freely select their healthcare provider and submit claims for reimbursement according to their personal contribution limit and the fund's internal regulations. Since February 2018, the fund has maintained an agreement with Universal Life Ltd to provide inpatient hospital coverage, available to any individual regardless of fund membership status. The organization's funding comes from member and employer contributions as well as donations. The fund's board comprises seven members elected by the general assembly every three years.
