CVAR

CVAR is situated on Ermou Street in Nicosia's walled city center and began operations in 2014. The organization maintains the Costas and Rita Severis collections, featuring paintings, historical garments, and artifacts connected to Cyprus and surrounding regions. The facility includes a library and research center containing more than 10,000 titles accessible to both academic researchers and general readers. The venue operates a café and rooftop garden where film screenings and slide presentations take place. The ground floor provides a venue for educational activities, workshops, and seminars organized in collaboration with the Foundation and partner organizations, aimed at fostering mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence. From its position in the historic city, the location offers views of the surrounding architectural heritage, including traditional architecture, historic vegetation, religious buildings, and monuments, with the Pentadaktylos mountain range visible in the distance.
